In 2016, to achieve “gold standard” status among public and heritage gardens in UAE and worldwide, the Al Ain Oasis has used Avesta Group’s skills in operational and financial planning.

A Historical Site

Al Ain Oasis is the largest oasis of Al Ain, located in the centre of the city. Near the oasis is Al Ain National Museum to the east, and Al Ain Palace Museum to the west. The oasis is known for its underground irrigation system which brings water from boreholes to water farms and palm trees. The falaj irrigation is an ancient system dating back thousands of years and is used widely in the region.

The First UNESCO World Heritage Site in UAE

The Property of the Cultural Sites of Al Ain was the first in the UAE to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 27th June 2011. The Site is a property, comprised of four assemblages: the magnificent Jebel Hafit, the complex archaeological remains at Hili, the ancient settlement at Bidaa Bint Saud and the lush Al Ain Oases.
