Since 2015, Avesta Group was commissioned by Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism on a cultural project to transform the house of the late Beit Mohammed bin Khalifa into a dynamic cultural and community centre.

A Typical Architecture

Built in 1958, Beit Mohammed bin Khalifa House is a significant building in the context of the recent UAE history, as it is a beautiful and rare example of a lifestyle and architecture typical of the Transition Period (1960-1970) that led to the creation of the current modern state.
The values of the house have been recognised in its history, architectural significance, geographical location and settings, technical and aesthetical elements, as well as in its social, educational and economic aspects.

A Vibrant Community Centre Celebrating Local Heritage

The vision for Mohammed bin Khalifa House is “to become a vibrant cultural community centre that commemorates the Late Beit Mohammed bin Khalifa and highlights the urban transition period as a pivotal era and its linkage to the World Heritage Site of Al Ain”.
Beit Mohammed bin Khalifa House will be a remarkable cultural destination and social experience that serves the needs of the local community.
Mohammed bin Khalifa House will host in a unique and restored heritage building a multipurpose hall, a resources centre, a permanent exhibition, a heritage trail, social and educational spaces, food and beverage and landscaped outdoors.
