In 2013, Avesta Group participated at a great project dedicated to sailing in tribute to Eric Tabarly.

A Tribute to a Great Sailor

Designed by architect Jacques Ferrier, the Cité de la Voile – Eric Tabarly (City of Sailing – Eric Tabarly) is part of the conversion project of the Keroman site former submarines base.
Built in homage to the famous sailor Eric Tabarly disappeared at sea on June 13, 1998, the City intends to sensitise the public to the world of sailing through exhibitions, conferences and various animations.

From Sailing History to Multimedia Element

The City of Sailing Eric Tabarly is a multimedia exhibition centre located in Lorient (France). It presents a lively and informative way, construction methods of modern and old sailing ships, as well as the stories and techniques of sailing while offering the opportunity to experience fishing trips. It is also the port home of most of the Pen Duicks of the navigator, which can be observed at each of their stops in Lorient.
