In 2003, Avesta Group skills were implemented when the Liechtenstein National Museum added a new extension in addition to the historic buildings.

The Historical Museum

The National Museum in Liechtenstein houses a permanent exhibition focusing on the history, culture and landscape of the Principality of Liechtenstein. It also hosts special exhibitions. Visitors to the three main buildings will find 42 exhibit rooms spread across almost 2000 square meters.

An Extension for the Natural History Collection

Since 2003, the Liechtenstein National Museum has been located in a complex comprising several buildings: two historic constructions, the former Princely Tavern and the Administrator’s House, and a more recent extension built between 1999 and 2003.
The old National Museum and the connected Administrator’s House showcase the history and culture of Liechtenstein, while the more recent extension includes the natural history collections and a series of temporary exhibitions.
