In 2008, Avesta Group played a crucial role in the planning of the Museum of Romanticism in the Ossolinski National Institute.

A Humanist Library

The Ossolineum is one of the most extensive scientific library in Poland, second to none as far as the collections in the field of the humanities are concerned. The acquisitions profile has been defined as humanistic with particular stress being laid on Polish and Slavonic history, culture and literature. In this respect, the Ossolineum collections are unique not only in Poland but also worldwide.
The Ossolineum is a presence library and the items collected are available on-site only in eight reading rooms.

A Museum of Romanticism

The institution has decided to create a museum for its collections linked with Polish Romanticism. It is located in a registered historical site, i.e. the main square of Wroclaw. The Museum of Romanticism does not only aim at demonstrating the influence of Romanticism on Polish culture and history but also at becoming a new tourist attraction.
