In 2001, Avesta Group implemented its skills in project management to help in the extension of the Maison Bonaparte in Corsica, France.
In Corsica, the most famous house is the Maison Bonaparte in Ajaccio where Napoleon was born on August 15, 1769. In 1967 the house became a national museum, now attached to the National Museum of castles Malmaison and Bois-Awning.
The building was enlarged in 2001 by buying a house next door that has added spaces devoted to the Second Empire or temporary exhibitions. Regular restoration campaigns have updated the sets desired by Napoleon III and Eugenie.
Like any important man house, the Maison Bonaparte attempts to return the items within its walls, furniture, coins from archives. The evocative setting and exterior of the building remain Napoleon's time. The museum also has the task of acquiring personal memories focusing on the characters who lived in the house, were they, hosts or owners.
