In 2009, Avesta Group implemented its skills in planning and supervising the Musée des 24 Heures du Mans renovation.

A Museum Dedicated to the Oldest Sports Car Endurance Race in the World

The Musée des 24 Heures du Mans, located next to the main gate to the circuit, was founded in 1961 as the Automobile Museum de la Sarthe. In 1991 it was adopted by the organisers of the 24 Hours Road Race and moved to a purpose-built museum complex.

The Recent Renovation

In 2009, it was extensively renovated, so that the museum's permanent exhibition of the 24 Hours now highlights over 100 exceptional cars, many collectables, dozens of films and archive photographs.
The museum tour is organised around six significant sequences that lead the visitor to meet the heroes of the 24 Hours race and origins of a tradition of the Le Mans automotive industry, tracing the evolution of the car in the twentieth century. The museum attracts some 100,000 visitors every year.
