Some unexposed artworks

Catherine Hutin- Blaye, the daughter-in-law of Picasso, is behind this significant project; On the death of her mother, she inherits many unique and unknown pieces. It would be one of the most beautiful collections signed by Picasso. The vast majority of exhibits of this collection have never been presented. They represent works that Picasso wished to keep with him throughout his life.

An excellent opportunity for the city

Aix-en-Provence aims at creating its third major museum at the Collège des Prêcheurs in the heart of the town. This project will also be the third French museum dedicated to Picasso, after the ones of Paris and Antibes. The area will consist of more than 4000 square meters of an exceptional exhibition of more than 2,000 exposed works. The museum programme should be spread over three level with an exhibition space, an auditorium, a documentation centre, workshops pottery and engraving, a cafeteria, a restaurant and a secure storage area.
